Puppy Easter Egg Hunt

Easter weekend was nice and warm, it really felt like it was Spring! We had so much fun last year having a Puppy Easter Egg Hunt that I decided I'd do it again this year! We had a great dinner at my parent's house and then went down to the park for the hunt :)

At first my family seemed a little skeptical about the whole thing, and they may have even teased me a little. I get it - not everyone would do this for their dog. But hey, why not have a bit of fun?!

I helped Schoko find her first egg. She wasn't really sure what to do with it. She could smell the treats inside, but had no idea how to get to them.

After showing her that there really was a treat inside, she started running around the park looking and finding her eggs. I purposely put a little bit of a Pup-Peroni in each one because I knew she'd be able to smell it.

By the end she had figured out how to bite the egg to open it and eat the treat inside, which was a huge improvement from last year! It was fun to watch her run and sniff around trying to find and eat all of the treats.

This picture was taken after the hunt. I love how happy she looks!

Our friends were going to bring their dogs over for the hunt as well, but got a little delayed. So we had another hunt with them later in the evening. Schoko stole almost all of their eggs since she had mastered the art of cracking them. I couldn't keep her away from them. She loved the game, but she really needs to learn how to share with her friends!
