Step #2 - Mornings

I am not a morning person. I really wish I could be a morning person, but I don't think it's in the cards for me. There have been so many times I've tried to get up early and go to the gym. I do great for about 2 - 3 weeks and then things start to tank. All of you morning people out there who get to enjoy breakfast and coffee at home will probably never understand. I envy you. Be grateful for your long mornings.

What I've decided to do this year is to have better mornings. This isn't being accomplished by waking up hours earlier. Just by having a better morning time with less stress.

Solution: I have now started to lay out my outfits before going to bed. Having one less thing to worry about has seriously reduced the amount of stress I have each morning. I have always had such a hard time putting together outfits when I'm trying to rush out the door. I find that it really tends to add unnecessary stress to my day. I end up trying multiple clothes on and leaving my closet a mess! Which only adds to the problem - see step #1 a few posts back :)

Maybe I can reduce stress in my day to day life after all - one small step at a time!

  1. I need to adopt this theory. And do the same for lunches as well. Outfits and lunches down.
