We had a crazy windstorm a few weeks ago. I have never been afraid to go out in the wind before. It was insane! I can only imagine what a tornado must be like. Yikes! We found what we believed to be our garbage can forever away. I went out to watch for Spencer to return with the garbage can so I could open up the garage door and found that I couldn't get back to the house. I had to grab onto the house and pull myself towards the door because the wind was so strong. How crazy is that!? It was then that I decided that I should probably not drive into work.
The power was out all day. So, I studied and put away my Halloween decorations (yes I really am that behind!) and put up some holiday decorations (finally)! I like how they turned out this year. Perhaps I'll get some pictures of my fireplace mantel and trees up sometime soon.
What little bit of fence we had (it only went across the back) is totally gone. It was sad to watch it slowly blow away and know there was nothing we could do about it. I think we'll wait to replace it until we can afford to do the whole thing. Who knows how long that will be! ha. My puppy is very curious to see what is on the other side, even though she ends up there all the time to get her frisbee. Silly girl. I guess it's different going around vs through where the fence was? hmm.
We found a lot of random garbage, shingles, fence pieces, sheets of metal and more all throughout our yard and down the street.
The construction site down the street absolutely covered the field across the street with debris. It was kind of unique. So, my wonderful hubby took pictures of it. I seriously had never seen anything quite like it. The field was covered with pieces of plastic blowing in the wind and glistening in the sun.
Thanks hun for the wonderful photos to remember the crazy windstorm!
