Get Picky - August Inspiration Challenge

First I just have to mention that I had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend up at Jackson Hole, WY with our friends! We went rafting down the Snake River and had a blast!! Pictures to come! My puppy got to play at Camp Bow Wow. So I'm sure she had a great time too!

Before I left I did a quick scrap for the Get Picky August Inspiration Challenge. This is the collage for the inspiration:

This is what I came up with using a bunch of things I got in the Sassafrass Box Sale! This was my first box sale ever and I love everything it came with! Since I am new to the scrapbooking world, everything is new and exciting for me, including the old stuff they're practically giving away. So I'm totally happy with everything in the box :)

I loved this paper background so much! I was inspired by the collage to use this cheery paper with the wonderful yellow and blue flowers on it. Love It. (Please excuse the shadow covering the bottom section - I really need to learn how to take better photos of these pages without having shadows lol!)

This picture is from a group of pictures we took with my family wearing the Ecuadorian Bags my brother sent us! Super Fun! I love this picture of Spencer and myself - too cute!

I made this cute banner using the scraps of the background paper I used.

I hope you all enjoyed the photos of the page I did. I had a great time doing it! I came home from a long and frustrating day at work and was able to chill out and brighten my day with this lovely yellow page! Thank you for the inspiration! I really needed it that day :)

  3. HEY GIRL! This is a great take on the inspiration challenge, PERFECT use of that Sass paper (which I still have & love too!). My favorite thing about this page (besides the cutie pic of you & Spence) is that AWESOME banner! Love the perfect curve of the knotted twine, and the alternating colors of scrap-paper you used...great look & great use-your-stash technique as well!
